Tomas RoitmanSplit Heaven

Tomás began to play drums & percussion at early age of 4 with pots, pans and toothbrushes at his parent’s house in Querétaro and he started playing with real drum kits at music schools since he was 6. At age of 9 he got his first drum kit and started playing covers of Rush, Metallica, Marillion and Genesis (because that’s what their elder brothers and sisters listened).

In 2003 he & his best friend at that moment founded heavy metal band Split Heaven (at that time under the name of Lightstorm). Six years later after many demos recorded, playing live in all the Mexican Republic, and releasing the first album; Split Heaven became the first Mexican band ever to perform at the mighty Wacken Open Air in Germany.

In 2009, Tomás got endorsed by Meinl Cymbals thanks to mexican distributor “Gonher” and the German company; the same year he got the Evans & Vic Firth endorsements directly from the US. Now on 2016 he’s proudly endorsed by Natal Drums and the history is still being written!
